If you have not done so already, don't forget to register to make this site your own, too - registered users have a number of available benefits -

  1. Receive emails for new editions of the Zine itself
  2. Edit user profile details - add your avatar, information, websites.
  3. Submit comments on articles
  4. Submit categories for the links directory (subject to approval).
  5. Submit your own listings in the links directory (subject to approval). Links can include images from the site also.
  6. Review listings (subject to approval)
  7. View other registered users of this site. Add a guestbook comment to their profile, or email them if you wish (emails are kept confidential).
  8. In the future, receive emails towards the latest edition of the Zine being available.

Digiscrap Zine has several types of users (and could have many more!). Here is a list of what you can and can not do, which will help you work out the benefits of registering with the site.

Administrators
Behind the scenes, it is hoped there will be several administrators making this site work. These could consist of moderators of added links or newsflashes, and authors of content.

Front End Users
  • Guests - anyone browsing to this site is a guest (and a very welcome one at that!). Guests can access most webpages, but in the future will not be able to access some of the ezine content. Guests can not add links or content.
  • Registered Users - digiscrap zine users on this site have access to add links, comments, and have a community profile.  (See Privacy Statement and Terms of Usage Statement)
  • Authors - registered users who wish to provide content for the site are most welcome. Please contact us to have your authorship approved. Authors can submit content at the front end for Articles in the Resources area (under various categories), News Items and Zine content.
  • Administrators - yes, you can see admin users on the front-end of the site also.

  • Authors are subject to approval of the administrator of the site.

Editor / Publisher

  • If enough people wish to add content from the front end for such things as newsflashes etc (Authors), some publishers will also be created to allow for this, or trusted authors may be given the publishing function to publish their own content immediately.

Administrators

Administrators can be found on the front end, but generally operate via a large backend menu.

Registration is simple - You simply need to pull down the top tab to find the registration link. Once registered, you will be able to Login from this panel also. Once logged in, you will see a new user menu for you on the left-hand menu.

Registration is secure, using a security image to confirm you are not a spam-bot . Your registration details will also be emailed to yourself, to allow the site to confirm your email address. Please await this email, then click on the link given within this email, to confirm your address. Once this is done, an administrator will approve you and you will be able to access the site.

Logged in users have a special user menu available to their left. This allows you to enter links, edit your own user profile, and search for other site users. You can choose to supply whatever information you wish here, or as little.

The User Menu and top pull down panel both have a logout function for you also.

Content Authors for the Digiscrap Zine site are most welcome. Please use the contact form available to enquire into this.

Authors will have access to a Submit News and Content panel, available from their User Menus. From here, various sections and categories can be selected from.

The WYSIWYG editor available to frontend authors will allow the entry of both Intro and Main body text. Images can also be added via the Image button icon on the editor. Once saved, the content item will be published to the relevant area by the administrator.

Scrapbooking articles and news are very welcome onsite here.
