It's time to dig back into ancient history (well, July) for a not-to-be-missed layout.  I've been saving my favs on my hard drive for a long time, so occassionally I will pull out something for a Knockout Layout award that's not exactly recent but is oh so worthy.

This layout truly knocked me out the moment I saw it in the Scrap Girls newsletter.  I scrap lifted it that very day for a layout about my new macro camera lens.  I just love the "faux" look of this, as if it was a still life arranged on a table.  The long-stemmed flower is so unusual and striking and the stencilled bird and flowers are also very fresh.

Here's Shalae's original gallery post for this layout.

And here's my scraplift.

Jane Holmes is a writer and computer game designer from Seattle, WA where she lives with her DH and a basset hound.  She has been a digi scrapaholic since 2004 including a brief stint as a designer for Scrapbook Elements in 2005.  It didn’t take long, however, for Jane to realize that she had far greater talent and natural ability as a consumer in this industry, a course which she has pursued with fervor ever since.  Besides scrapping Jane loves walking, travel and digital photography, three hobbies which are quite frequently accomplished simultaneously and result in lots and lots of photos to be scrapped.

Her blogs are My Walking Life and My Scrapping Life.  Come visit!
