Digital Organisation Categories

Many digital scrappers spend a lot of time keeping their digital files organised, to allow us to find what we had an idea we already had. I took a look to see if I could come up with a defined list of the most helpful categories for organisation.

Chosen for your viewing pleasure within the Zine, the favourite picks of the My Scrapping Life awards found here onsite. The Big Drool Award and Knockout Layout TOP awards go to...

Big Drool Award (of the Month!)

OMG!  Squeal!  This is one of those kits that induces fits of running around giggling for joy!  Whoot!

I mean, how can you NOT love Halloween, and how can you NOT adore Mary Fran?  Put the two together and you get, well, can I be frank?  Magic!  Love, love, love all the Mary Fran-ish monsters here.  There's a mummy, a skeleton, a ghost, a witch and, natch, Frank himself.  There's also a pumpkin, bat and candy bits, yummy paper, ribbons and buttons to match.  Go get it!  And the Lil Bits accessory pack is a must-have, too.  Love the star with the super realistic purple ribbon.

As it happens, Mary Fran is having a big sale Friday and Saturday -- over 30% off everything in her store.  So grab this while it's discounted!

Here's the store page for Can I Be Frank

And the one for the Lil Bits.

By the way, she also has a new Fall kit up, and it's super, too!

Knockout Layout (of the Month!)

This layout was featured on Gina's blog (Weeds and Wildflowers) and I agree with Gina -- it's worthy of special mention!  This is obviously an old and well-loved photo and it extracted perfectly to form the basis of this fantasy layout.  (How come I can never "see" that in my old photos!)  The wings and elements have a home-made, shabby air, and I really love the strong brown used throughout this layout with just splashes of color.  What probably makes the layout, though, is the writing, which gives the entirety a "diary" appeal, sweet and simple and very intimate.

Here's the gallery page with credits.  While you're there take a look at her other layouts, too!

If you want to see more Big Drools, or some Knockout Layouts, don't forget to check the My Scrapping Life Awards available on DSZ or Jane's blog.
