This is old news, but I always find it odd when something as homely as scrapbooking finds itself being caught up in the darker side of things. In the DSZ listings for Scrapbook Retreats, one particular Retreat has had a review put up by Scrapgirl, leading to the discovery that the place was fraudulent.

To be removed from the listings shortly is a U.S. Retreat advertised as the Olde Geneva Diary. This Retreat, in a couples house seems to have received some okay reviews until April of this year, when the owner's wife divorced him. Read the remaining tale in the links found in Scrapgirl's review -

This listing should be removed.  Olde Geneva Dairy has been shut down due to unsafe conditions and failure to meet local rules and codes.

The owner is running an unregistered "meaning He doesn't pay taxes"  He is also in trouble to stealing deposits and running a scam.

Unsuspecting ladies book a room at the "dairy" which is closed, then show up to be taken to a run down motel.

Read about the raid that occurred in July.

Do not be mislead by this place.

It appears from the Bridgers search that although closed down due to zoning and health problems, Shelby is not as yet taking the owner to court.
