Side Story
Digi Chick Ownership

Seeing My Digital Muse as a sponsor for the Digi Chick's summer party reminded me of the ownership of TDC. The boutique was founded by Holly  McCraig, who later sold TDC to Laura Alpeché, and now  this store has moved ownership to Kimberly Giarrusso.

Holly went on from The Digi Chick to found My Digital Muse.

The Digi Chick celebrates some changes this weekend, with a summer sale, with 30% off, from the 13th to 15th July. The site now features a full redesign, a new owner in Kimberly Giarrusso, and some new designers.

Kimberly can be found on the boards at the Digi Chick, and also is on the design team for Ready, Set, Create Magazine. Her blog, Pure Scrapability, needs updating a bit because it hints at this big news as at 27th June. Kim took the site over from Laura Alpuche'

Laura announced her own changes for the 1st July, as she is moving onto graphic designing from her home. She will continue to sell her digital designs through the Digi Chick boutique, however.

Kimberly's designs can still also be found at the Funky Playground, and her own private boutique site, Pure Scrapability - which is currently closed until the Digi Chick store sale is finished on the 15th July.

The complete redesign of the site stays true to the browns of the old site design but adds a more graphic background, and a large image-map splashscreen at the very front. The monotone photographs on splash and banner remain true to the original design also.

The Digi Chick also has taken on four new designers -

Amanda Heimann
ChereKaye
Darcy Baldwin
Emily Merritt

Darcy Baldwin's fontography will be known from her Blue Flombingo boutique - which continues to sell her handmade fonts for you. Darcy now sells some font packs at The Digi Chick also.

The Digi Chick has also appointed a new creative team, including these scrappers -

  • Eva Bittig
  • Nicole Hacker
  • Mandy Koontz
  • Annie Pennington
  • Christine Couch
  • Nikki Hawkins
  • Camila Maria
  • Charlene Virkler
  • Deena Hagen
To complete the big news, the Summer Scrap Out party of this weekend has some amazing sponsors of prizes from throughout the digital community - Natalie Braxton, Kate Hadfield, Meredith Fenwick, Gina Miller, Amber Clegg, Scrap Artist, Cat Scraps, Alt+Scrap, Little Dreamer Designs, Shabby Princess, Lisa Whitney, Trish Jones, Cantata Books, Ready Set Create! Magazine, Simple Scrapbooks and CK Media team, Scrap Quick, My Digital Muse, Disctalk Radio, Weeds and Wildflowers.
